FRED's WILD WEST BBQ & FESTIVAL - Round up your family and friends for Fred's Wild West BBQ and Festival at the Frederic Remington Art Museum, Sunday July 24 from 11am to 3pm. This year will be bigger and better as they block off the street to include a petting zoo, Buck Ridge Chainsaw Carving, face painting, lawn games at Kids' Place and Caricatures by Nikki Ryan. The museum will be open extended hours for the event, opening early at 11am. The Wild West BBQ will be catered by Parker Piercey, of PCP BBQ. Cost is $15 adults and $5 kids under 13. Each ticket purchase includes: meal, non-alcoholic beverage; live entertainment and Museum admission. The menu includes pulled pork, chicken, salt potatoes, corn on the cob, macaroni salad, watermelon and assorted Lipton Teas. Meals can be eaten on site, or as a take-out. Entertainment will be provided by Don Woodcock Band followed by Big Papa and Margarita Mike. This event is generously sponsored by Lipton Tea. Proceeds benefit the Frederic Remington Art Museum.

Preliminary show is at the KENNEDY SCHOOL auditorium on Tuesday, July 26th and the finals are on the MAIN STAGE in Library park on Friday evening prior to the show on the main stage and fireworks. $3 (OFA)

BATTLE OF THE HIGH SCHOOL BANDS - a Seaway Festival FAVORITE, will again be held on Sunday evening, July 24TH at the OFA field. In case of inclement weather, the show will be held IN THE DOME. Come and see all the high school bands in action. Love the parade, but don't get to see all the bands perform??? Here is your chance! $3 per person
